I found the couch-to-5k to be a fantastic programme – you build up so gradually and it’s easily achievable! I felt a massive sense of achievement when I completed it and I was raring to keep going! So 8 months later I did Brentwood Half and the same year, to raise money for Breast Cancer Research, I ran the London Marathon albeit slowly!!
I took one year break and then I ran the London Marathon a second time. With the help and support of the club I raised £6000 the first time and £4000 the second.
